Good if you're not in a hurry, especially with logistics issues caused by the covid pandemic. The items I've ordered in April haven't arrived yet.

what shipping method are you using? I am receiving goods within 2 weeks using AliExpress Standard Shipping. I find that China Registered post takes ages, at least a couple of months

      • Similar experience for me. One item arrived within 2 weeks using AliExpress Standard Shipping which surprised me.
I have 2 items that I'm still waiting for and it's nearly 3 months, one of them using Aliexpress standard shipping.
The seller keeps extending the buyer protection time.

All my recent purchases are coming quick using China post registered and AliExpress standard - from what I've gathered China post is sending new packages priority and slowly clearing the backlog
Which makes sense with my current packages all arriving quick and old packages slowly starting to trickle in
Avoid Singapore post though if you can seems like it's still having problems from what I've seen online

          • @Rowjo: Would opting for DHL shipping help for faster processing? It would cost extra though.

            • @bunga: It should be faster but some sellers can take a very long time to initially ship it (package it and take to post office).
For example I made an order today using china registered post which I find normally arrives within 2-3 weeks. But the sellers chosen to allow themself 13 days to ship it so this could greatly extend the time it takes to arrive.
Some sellers also seem to ignore the shipping option you choose but you can dispute that for shipping cost back.
Lastly, every time I see DHL or EMS options they are very expensive and I find it hard to justify it for the difference of a week or two.
Also, aliexpress collects GST on the product and shipping just as a FYI before you get the shock at the check out :))

          • @Rowjo: Use Aliexpress Standard Shipping as much as possible (or express if you really need it) as the cheaper shipping options can take months due to the lack of air cargo capacity to NZ.

Aliexpress has their own bulk shipping arrangement, and from my experience it is reliable at ~14 days or less to Auckland, that is assuming the seller actually posts the item promptly.

    • If you opted for free shipping, that timeframe is totally normal.

    • it really depends on the item. i bought one 10 days ago and it arrived today. but some items i ordered during lockdown are still not here after 2 months.
