  Apparently Extra Large pizzas are 50% larger (and presumably have 50% more toppings).

  If you're planning to get the gourmet range (or anything more than $12 normal price) then you'd be better off upgrading to XL on top of the benefit of only being able to apply it to a subset of pizzas.

  However it's notable I haven't quantitatively verified this claim.

    According to this website, large (standard) pizza size is 25cm and XL pizza is 32cm.
    Use simple math, large pizza area = 491cm^2 and XL pizza area = 804cm^2.
    804/491 = 64% bigger

    XL pizza only cost $3 more than large pizza

    I haven't tried the XL pizza yet (being lazy to customise) but will buy XL pizza from now on :)

  Don't think the coupon terms are right. If you add a gourmet or traditional pizza with the coupon and then use the 'add a pizza' button in the voucher box, it still only shows traditional and gourmet pizzas at least for me. If I just add a value or extra value pizza anyway it doesn't get added as a second item to the coupon. Not sure why you'd want to add extra value or value pizzas as the second pizza with this, but that's a different question 😛

  I tried both my local store and one in Wellington just to make sure it wasn't some weird store thing. BTW, traditional and gourmet pizzas in Wellington City are expensive compared to most west Auckland stores (except Glen Eden), especially both Te Atatu stores and Henderson.
