surely there's some sort of price guarantee? recently bought a fridge from NL that went on sale the next day, after giving the store a call they credited me the difference.
generally most places there isn't, if you haven't opened the item you could return and buy the lower priced one.
but hopefully the dude asks PBTech
This deal is good bought mine in 2020 for $581 from Gearbyte/Market, at least with PBtech its local and so returning/swapping it is easier.
Can always ask wink wink
Are these suitable for text/work purposes or is IPS better than the VA panels for that?
Fully thinking office documents/email etc WFH use case and currently have an older 2560 x 1080 flat LG IPS ultrawide.
I personally prefer 2x 24'' or 27'' monitors for documents/email/WFH instead of 1 big monitor, but each to their own.
Got this monitor back in 2020 for $581 as well, good monitor for gaming and have enjoyed it so far.
Regretted not buying the LG C2 42'' as an upgrade when it was on sale last month :(
Text/Documents its fine, if you're doing anything related to colour though IPS is always better
Though colours on this are pretty good.
But yeah 2 monitors are better than 1
IPS is suited when higher refresh/larger viewing angles is important, so for WFH they would be the same. Resolution and size will be more important factors for you.
Wide-screen is awesome for office functions especially with win11 fancy zones for window management.
Only issue with VA is you get smeer when scrolling text, while it's not an issue for some people it gives me killer headaches, and if you are not sitting straight on you get washout.
The higher spec dell VA I tried last month was returned within a week, now using IPS again and it's much more comfortable. But it's really just personal preference, you might notice VA draw backs more since you are used to IPS with your current screen.
It's a daily deal so it ends today.

anyone using this to do split monitor should look into PowerToys (fancy zone) and also DisplayFusion (an awesome tool for multi-monitor setup). You can create virtual splits (horizontal or vertical) and create different profiles (e.g. for home and work) and have triggers that automatically do certain things, like maximizing the window and move it to a specific monitor or a virtual monitor, etc.
Kinda want it but no gsync support ;( Looks like a great deal though!
I use a freesync display with my Nvidia GPU with no issues.
Freesync Premium works almost functionally the same as a monitor with gsync these days.
This is a good write up about it from the time.

God damn it how did I miss this deal!
I am sad too
feel bad for the person I saw that bought it yesterday @PBtech
