  • Are these as bad as TWH baked beans?

The crunchy one I bought was rather liquidy. It tasted OK but it's nothing compared to Pic's or Fix & Fogg. I'd get a couple for cooking with.

At 2 bucks, now is the time to do a taste test 👍

    • i love their beans with a bit of cracked pepper. Crunchy peanut butter is all good too, but you may disagree with my comment knowing i like their beans haha

      • yeah their baked beans is very bland

Can anyone compare to Pams (my go to, value to taste wise).

Decent, it's actually better in some ways. Reccomend.

Came to ask this! Had just bought another Pam’s at $1.69 last week

    • Pam's peanut butter contains hydrogenated peanut oil which has trans fat and can lead to cancer and heart dideases.

  • My kids will only eat Delish brand. Haven’t tried market brand though so worth a go at that price.

    • From memory Delish is like Bega in that it has sugar added? Probably enjoy the sweetness that balances out the savoury.

My jar of Market Kitchen from last year says China
My jar of Pams from last week says India

        • +1

Interesting. The image on the website says made in Argentina from local and imported ingredients (so who knows, it could be Chinese nuts for all we know)

          • @Latex Fist: Looks like they have updated their supplier in the past year or so.
Made in Argentina now it would be likely they use South America nuts.
But not saying so could source whatever is cheapest at the time of production.

The Warehouse Market Kitchen = Argentina made with local and imported ingredients

Fix & Fogg = NZ Made with nuts from Argentinian
Nut Brothers = NZ made with nuts from South America
Mother Earth = Made in NZ with nuts from Australia and Argentina
Macro Organic = Australia made from imported ingredients

  • 100% peanuts,

    add your own salt?

  • Bin Inn does good peanut butter

Over double the price locally though :(

      • Must admit I haven't bought it in a few years. These days I just buy Pics or Fix & Fogg out of convenience and brand reputation.

Both smooth and crunchy will have a thick layer of oil on top. If not using for a few weeks store upside down. No matter what, it will need a stir with a fork to mix when you open it.
I really like the crunchy (not a fan of Pics as tastes over roasted to me-for comparison).
The smooth is not as good but works well in smoothies and cooking.
