yea, unless its one of the new ones (they have bluetooth). They are $30 base price

Make sure to check if its the new one or not first, and $30 BASE PRICE, I've seen them as low as $15 and 1 will connect 4 controllers
You can use it wired with just a USB cable though, but yea, need the receiver for wireless.

What does it mean by 'brand new un-boxed product'? Does it come in packaging? Are they official items? Who would meet any warranty issues?
like it's not in a clamshell retail package, more likely to be in those white plastic bags the controllers come in when they are bundled with a console etc.

Yea, pretty much. It's not the end of the world, still seems to work fine.
For those upset, some of the Ozbargain guys managed to get 40% refund by complaining.
