To celebrate StarCraft HD, Blizzard is somewhat generously giving away the original for free. StarCraft and Brood War will both be free to download once patch 1.18 is rolled out on March 30. Once the update is live, StarCraft Anthology, which includes the original game and the Brood War expansion, will be free to download and play.

  Nice one..

  The remake might be just around the corner.. if anyone is going to playthrough remember - There is no cow level :)

    They are releasing Brood War Remastered this winter, which will be in HD with updated models and textures.
    This (the original pixellated glory) will be free when this happens!

      O wow didn't realize it was confirmed its been rumored for a while. Wonder if they will actually make a cow level this time.
