They have an expiry of September 2017 which for me works out fine.

Me and my partner personally have had bad experiences with Banana boat, were both using for outside work we did during a summer and even applying it every 2 hours wondered why we still got burnt.

It is a nice consistency and feel compared to a lot of others but it's was not very effective. We were looking at sunscreens at the supermarket when we ran out and this lady comes up to us and says don't buy banana boat if you want to burn. So it doesn't seem to be just us.

    • I've found the nivea light feel stuff works well. just keep it away from… absolutely everything. especially your car paint, upholstery, leather etc.

      • That's exactly what we ended up getting instead because my skin tolerates it well and is effective….And yeah my car paint has faded white marks all over it because of that and interior plastic as well. Gonna have to try and use a strong polish/cutter to see if I can get it out.

    • I've used banana boat brand before and had no issues. i know they got some bad press last year. If you read the comments section in the stuff article there seems to be many happy customers. I'd advise for anyone who is deciding whether to purchase read the comments, try for yourself.

      • Yeah there are always a lot of variables when it comes to sunscreen, like they mentioned in the article, incorrect or infrequent application etc. I guess for us we just found Nivea under the same conditions worked, but was a lot heavier and greasy on the skin which was a downside.

Interesting in one of the comments a guy said he used BB and it was fine for him until they changed the formula, so maybe that was the problem.
