I was just looking at Briscoes One Day Sale. I thought it sounded pretty good for 60% off on microwaves.
Breville BMO100 Microwave 25 Litre
One Day Sale Price: $180
Price last week: $150
So we got lucky and Google cached the page last week.
Breville BMO300 Microwave 34 Litre
One Day Sale Price: $240
Price Yesterday: $600
Pricespy's History shows the price trend a bit better. Always reduce the sale price to a similar low point for a short time, then raise it up a ridiculous price. The avg low for this microwave is around $200 so $240 is fairly expensive.
Well, I'm sure you all knew this but I find it really quite deceptive and difficult to ascertain when things are a bargain. I just really hope no one buys a microwave for $600. Now that's ridiculous!
I've noticed a number of retailers doing this, and I can only assume it is to get onto the aggregators largest price drop lists.
Crazy tactics…
