I've had a price watch on this phone for a while and this is the cheapest it's ever been.
Usually US$300, now US$225. Just bought one, NZ$349 incl shipping. No GST or import duty as it's under $400.
Probably won't stay this price for very long!
This is the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model in Lunar Grey.

  • I have the 3/32GB version of this phone and it's awesome. Their OS is mostly stock Android, the minor tweaks they've made actually improve Android it doesn't change it completely like a lot of the phones coming out of China.

  • I thought you couldn't get products with li-on batteries shipped to NZ?

    • I have no idea what the answer is to this, but judging from the other post they get xiaomi phone delivered to NZ, so i'd think it's OK?

    • i got a few xiaomi power banks shipped over from china a month ago… so i think it still comes in…

    • +1

My flatmate is a pilot. He explained that batteries by itself isn't allowed, due to risk of it combusting at a certain temperature. however If it's connected in a device, that's a different story, I can't remember what he said exactly but I'll get back to you in a few days time.

      • OK cool, that makes sense - I once bought a bike light that had a li-on battery that was removable and Youshop wouldn't send it - maybe that's why!

  • Is this the US edition, so no band 28?

    • Q & A on Amazon states: USA XT1687 - so yes, sadly no band 28.

      LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 17(700), 25(1900), 26(850), 38(2600), 41(2500), 66(1700/2100) - XT1687 (USA)

    • I've had phones with and without Band 28 and never noticed the difference

      • If you're on 2degrees you'll notice barley any difference. Vodafone you might notice some decent amount of distance outside of cities. But Spark have band 28 nearly everywhere now. It means you have LTE almost everywhere you have signal, including in weak spots indoors and rurally.

  • Now back-up to $299 US

    • Wow, that was quick. Less than 24 hours.
I suggest if you want one then set your own price alert on Camelcamelcamel.com so you get an email as soon as it drops again.

  • It's back down to US$225
