My GFs Nexus 5X just died so she has returned it to warehouse stationary and they have refunded the purchase price.
Are there any really good deals on the moment for either premium android phones (she can have my Galxy S5 and I'll take a new phone) or phones around the $400-500 mark. I would order something like a xiaomi mi6 from overseas, but i think the shipping will be too long.

Often on special for around $350 - 380 USD, never seen it cheaper than $350USD. You will have to pay gst unless you're lucky. They wont pay tax for you thpough if you order it.
If a couple of people are interested they can let me know in this thead, and I can ask the rep from light in the box to do a $350 USD delivered to NZ deal again, but you may have to pay customs gst when it arrives as it's >$400 NZD.

I got a xiaomi mi 6 for $347 USD delivered, and the company agreed to pay the tax if I get pinged by customs :D
I had originally asked for them to declare a lower amount (naughty naughty) and they said they would, then after I paid they said they couldn't declare a lower amount but if I wanted to still go ahead with the order they'd refund any tax paid.
