    Screw bulb not bayonet

  • I just got some Lifx bulbs over xmas , excellent :)

    • Have lifx. They are the best.never fail.

  • How does the brightness compare to Philips tornado 24w? The latter is almost double the lumens.

1450 vs 800 lumens is huge. I had 2 800lmn bulbs running in my medium sized bedroom which i find the brightness to be very good. I think it all comes down to how big the room is and how many bulbs used in that room. I've also swapped out the 800lmn bulbs for 600lmn bulbs in the room before and i find that the 200lmn missing was a huge step down in brightness.

      • It's interesting they say 800lmn is equivalent to 60 watt incandescent, but I found them to be brighter and closer to 80 or more watts equivalent. I remember a post from last year where someone said you would be hard pressed to see the difference between a 100 watt and 800 lumen bulb. I can't imagine how bright 1450 lumens would be.

  • Looks like deal has expired today. I thought I saw the expiry was January 4th on the website. Should have bought it last night when I had the chance :(

    • I hate when that happens, yeah was supposed to finish 4th or until stocks last.

      • It appears to have ended because stocks didn't last. "In stock" or "while stocks last" with CL means "while CL has stock", which seems to no longer be the case here (the bulb is listed as "at supplier".)

        • It was 'at supplier' since the beginning of the deal, so CL may not have had their own stock anyway, but I'm guessing they had some kind of limit for orders at supplier at that price.

  • It is a pity they were only 2700k instead of 3000k, and only E27, not B22 fitting. 2700k produces a very orangey light compared to 3000k which I personally find is a more natural warm white. 3000k is also the colour temperature most lighting stores use for room light.

I ordered one when this was posted earlier in the week. Then got an email saying they wanted to confirm my identity by contacting my employer (wtf?) or by me contacting my back for a unique code or waiting until the payment appeared on my bank statement and giving them the details. Which I did.
Got an email today that they were out of stock but had another one they could sell me for more than twice the price.
How can you not have an accurate inventory when you're an online store?
Left a bad taste in my mouth and has put me off ever ordering from this outfit again.
Next time I'll buy cheaper from overseas and just wait a few weeks.

    • That's a Shame, and especially disappointing from Computer Lounge, because they have been rated the best online shop on Pricespy for a few years in a row. Would be interesting to see if others had the same issue. I did notice when they had the deal up it said 'at supplier', assuming it meant in stock with their supplier, meaning they maybe didn't have stock at their store and just ordered direct from supplier. But they should have honoured your deal either way.

not sure who is voting to make cl #1 on pricespy. even pricespy forum users seem confused how cl manage to get ranked 1st each year.

        • Oh really, maybe CL have a whole lot of secret accounts they use to vote for their own store lol

    email:

Unfortunately, this item sold out before your order was placed and as this a while stocks last sale we will not be ordering in any bulbs at this pricing.

This bulb is also a pre-order item now as we cleared out our supplier for this sale.

Our supplier still has stock of the below Bulb, which is $54.95

If this does not interest you I will arrange a full refund for you.

    what shit

    • Yeah I got the same. Poor form.

  • Just received an email saying order is cancelled. No explanation whatsoever.
And I actually purchased before this deal was published - when it was still in stock. Looks more like false advertising to me.
