    Isn't that why we had those 1 cent sim cards for =P. I got the key from the site and didnt need a phone confirmation number. Unless you meant putting the key on your xbox account? which I have not done yet as I have not received my xbox yet

      purchase went trough ok without needing phone number.
      but to "reveal" the code they asked to confirmation code by sms.

      redemption on xbox itself went fine

        Oh ok. Not sure why that happened to you, I got my key without a confirmation number or requiring a phone number and it revealed it fine =O.
