  I bought 2 of these fan from warehouse. and I bought 2 of $10 Celsius usb fan from countdown.

  they are cheap. but the quality of these $5 fan is the lowest I have ever seen. they don't last.
  $10 fan from countdown is sooooo much better quality wise. lasts soooooo much longer. much much better quality. real worth double the price. brand name is Celsius.
  so be warned. you get what you pay for.

    Can you expand on your experience? I've been using one of these $5 fans since Christmas and haven't run into any issue.

  I bought one a stainless steel one from Bunnings two years ago and still works beautifully! Whereas this $5 one only lasted me 1 month (bought it for work as small desk fan), must be the ball bearing getting worn out quite easily..

  I purchased a mitre 10 small usb fan a while ago it failed after about a week of very little us. Got it switched, and the second one also failed. Not sure why they failed, as there isn't much too them. Celsius is an OK brand I have found, I have a big power fan made by them, and apart from the bad corrosion on it due to poor chroming, it performs well.

    Which type did you get from Mitre10?

    There are a couple of $10 USB fans in Mitre10 - one plastic that feels like it'll fall over under it's own power when you switch it on. And one metal construction that looks just like the photo posted with this deal. I bought the latter last week. Seems okay so far for what it is but it's early days yet.

  I can't put up with the rattling noise this fan produces when im sleeping, after 1 week of use. That's why I use the Celsius USB fan now. The warehouse ussb fans are made with cheap materials, flimsy fragile cables. Compared to the Celsius, it's night and day.
