is that the same as new world christmas club? i grabbed that card, read thru t&cs and apparently you need to "activate" the card by topping it up by at least $5.
I didn't find out about this New World condition until I asked for one at the register. Feels like something that should have been made very clear in advance.
Does the New world t&c mention about that? i thought we just need to register the card by filling out the online form?

Seems like this is also a minimum of $5 deposit sort of thing…
Just spoke to Sue and another man (New World Christmas Club Promotions) of Foodstuffs North Island. They confirmed all I have to do is pick up a card and registered the card online(or ring them) by the promotion date. Don't have to deposit any money. I am only getting the NW cards (for the whole family) for the $10 credits per card.
However of course, the purpose of the card is to save $ and get the bonus - the rates of return are better than leaving the $2000 (max per card) in the bank. Pak n Save is cheaper for me. Will be joining the rest of the family too for P+S free $10 credit per card :)
