  • nice finally! been seeing all the ozbargain mcd app offers and was jealous!

  • A lot of 1 star reviews for the app saying this welcome offer is a fake.

    • that is what happens if management don't tell staff about the app

      • Franchisees tend to do their own thing. Unless the promo is on Facebook or is widely advertised (TV, billboards etc) don't expect them to honor it.

    • Worked for me at the Courtenay Place store.

    • If you search for McDonalds in the app stores, there are several available. Perhaps they have downloaded and using the wrong app, hence it will not work at the counter. Just a thought.

  • Haha yeah about time.

  • How much is a big mac normally? No prices on their site.

    • Must be about 6 to 8 bucks pretty pricy

    • $6.30

  • Was working for me in Wellington train station, manager had to check it though if this offer is available.

  • does it work with the drive thru?

  • Oh snap, Mark your back!

It worked through my local Maccas. Great thing is, once you use a deal, you can log out. Put a random name and email in, and you can use the coupon again.

      shh shush

    • They didnt ask me to press redeem. I just flashed the phone and got the $3 Big Mac =)

    • I've used 2 email addresses, 2nd account got somehow deleted from the system so once I set it up I was able to use them again. And they don't usually ask to press Redeem.
      Breakfast/coffee sorted.

      • They've now blocked the extra accounts from working

  • Anyone know if you can get a Hot Chocolate with the McCafe voucher? Hate the taste of coffee.

    • Don't see why not, just ask, I've done so in the past with no problems. At the core Mcdonalds employees just want you out of their face and they will make you happy to do so. :D

    • (Small) hot chocolates are (were?) $1 each.

      • They still are, I had one on Tuesday. The only way to find out I guess if you could get a McCafe Hot Chocolate with the voucher would be to ask when you order, since it's not explicity stated in the terms and conditions.

          3 small hot chocolates > 1 large

          Same price

        • +5

The small hot chocolates for $1 are machine, the $3 large hot chocolates would be barista made, so much better quality

        • @Ashleemet: yes! This is what I was talking about lol

The staff at Albany McDs had no idea about the app or deal and said they couldn't do it as it wouldn't be entered in the system.
After saying it was 'their own app,' the manager reluctantly approved a large-mc-cafe coffee. Talk about uninformed haha! :)

Been there, done that. Afterwards, you wonder why it was so hard to buy a simple cup of coffee in the first place, haha.
