Can someone explain whats happened with AMAZON… a item that lands at my house for NZD363.99 becomes NZD454.91 due to the application of Import Fees Deposit: NZD 90.92
4 Months ago I could buy an item, on AMAZON, for NZD399 and that was the price paid. Now, a NZD364 item costs NZD454.
I have ability to spend, and to buy, at NZD399 but I cannot spend NZD454 due to finance/VISA limits etc
I know the NZD90.92 comes back, but I cannot pay it.
Also, I (a buyer) loses in 2 other ways:
1: I pay interest on the NZD90.92 in the 60 days to takes to get the money back &
2: I lose on the exchange calculations each time
Why should they get my NZD90.92 to use for 60 days?
Why are they applying close to NZD90.92 fees now, on an item that is guaranteed landed at my door for NZD363.99?
Anyone know?
