Weird I didnt know dominos had different prices for each store… Only the big pepperoni seems to be 14.99 here in Auckland, all other flavours are priced at 17.99… And for some reason, the closest dominos to my place took off all their New Yorker range today… mmm adding to the cart, the 14.99 pizza end up coming out as an 17.99 pizza with 50% off here as well.
Yes they've done that for a while. There used to be a up to $2 difference between the cheapest stores and most expensive stores for the gourmet and traditional pizzas. There was a calculation somewhere I think the gpforums on whether it was better to use 40% off or 33% off coupons or various set prices.
The $14.99 thing not discounted 50% off is also fairly common. For a while they were having one or two pizzas in the gourmet or traditional range on a permanent special about $3 or so off the normal price. E.g. the 8 meats. When they had the 50% off coupons, these would normally exclude those pizzas, said so in the T&C and they often wouldn't work at all. But sometimes they would work but go off the 'normal' price. I think one time there was a coupon mentioned on Domino's promotional page which didn't mention excluding a pizza which had a lower price yet either it didn't work or took 50% off the normal price not the listed special price. (Most stores say discount off normal price as a standard term but I've never seen that for Domino's.) But I never bothered to complain. (I'm not sure if the special price on the pizza was my store only or most stores.)
In this case, in the absence of T&C for the coupon from Domino's, it's hard to be able to say there's something wrong.

They're $17.99 (except for the Pepperoni one) at the store across town.
big pepperoni comes up as $8.99 in Taupo with 50% off coupon even though normal price is $14.99!
other flavours are normally $17.99 so i guess its somehow confused with that.
