I bought a refurb galaxy s6 from the warehouse, and it was grade A. The battery lasts only for 1 hour. I don't think I will ever buy a refurb again from here. Too bad this is a refurb pixel 2. I don't know what experience a other people have with their refurbs.

    • Had the exact same issue buying a S7 from 1-day. Not recommended, looks like they do NOT change the battery…

      • The batteries are all sealed inside it's gonna be a major job to replace the battery without damaging the water resistance.

        • yeah don't wanna spend so much on a refurbished. Also the units could be confiscated items from prisons, and we know they have been to… exotic places https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/87090131/banned-cellp…

        • @The Hound: a bit of scaremongering tbh I assume they wouldn't choose such an expensive model for their smuggering operation also there is a non xl model which is probably a better choice for that.

Agreed on price being a rip off for a refurbished one year old phone with snapdragon 835.

  • These aren't genuine phones they are clones the only original part left is the motherboard the rest is third party parts, unless it's States Apple certified for Google certified refurbished they aren't genuine refurnished hence the reliability problems

    • How can 1 day (aka theWarehouse) sell these illegal phones with third party parts? Does the warehouse know all these ? Do people actually buy these refurb phones on 1 day??? How can 1 day keep on selling these phones everyday without any issues ?? I'mst wondering. A lot of people will be tempted to buy these refurbs coz they are cheap.

  • It's not illegal to sell them as they state refurnished not Apple certified refurbished and there are literally millions them out there. You just have to look on eBay and Chinese websites. Apple does not sell or supply parts, only to certified Apple repair stores

Personally wouldn't buy one at that price but if they are backed by proper (local) warranty I really don't see what the fuss is.

I did buy a cheapo Nexus 5x from an overseas refurb seller about 2 years ago and the unit came brand new sealed.you can't put all the sellers in the same category.

    • I messaged them and they said the iPhones were refurbished by an apple authorized repairer using apple certified third party parts (whatever that means). Unless they are lying this means they should be more reliable than the frankenstein ones on eBay and Chinese websites. It is a pretty enticing offer, the iPhone 7s are almost 40% off RRP (and for apple products, RRP doesn't really budge). I am interested to see what the battery health will be though…

From the list of the accessories of refurbished iphone, you will know these refurbished iphones are not officially refurbished by Apple Co. For example, the refurbished iphone 7 plus iphones come with 10W USB chargers. I guess these are refurbished by third party companies. According to IFIXIT, many latest Samsung smartphones have very low fixable scores. reference:https://www.ifixit.com/smartphone-repairability

  • Big no no buying electronics from 1 -day.
