Ok Michael, can you PLEASE answer the big un-answered question for years on Cheapies: so you went to a manned Gull station and filled up on discount day, and somehow you got these mysterious coupon/vouchers. So "2 x $5 (+ 3? )". Off what?, your next total fill up sum at that station or any gull manned station or unmanned?. And how did you get or earn these coupon things?. I ask as Gull website, FB etc is totally silent on these, as far as i can see. Cheers, Rob
I've not been in today, but in the past the checkout operator just hands a book of 3 vouchers to me. $5 voucher is normally off a minimum $50 spend.
@shriramn: 5+5+3 are for the Gull stations that doesn't serve hot food. Gull Mt Roskill is one. Those which has hot food (New Lynn, Kingsland etc) usually have 5+3+food discount.
@Avantime: I went to Gull Kingsland which serves so much hot food and they gave me a $5/$5/$3 coupon today.
@Avantime: Yes the Gull in the Henderson are all serve hot food and normally gives the food discount but this time they had the 5+5+3 vouchers. It's landscape rather than portrait too and specifies time of ending as well as day although it's just 12am to 11.59pm.
And yes for those who don't know. It's $5 off $50 and $3 off $30. Not exactly next fill, it always starts after the discount day ends, generally a Saturday. This time it's starts on the 26th May. And nearly always end before the next discount day. This time it's the 17th June. (There was one time I remember with overlap due to odd timings for some holiday.)
Actually it's normally the Sunday before next discount day the voucher expires although I think because of previous holiday timings it ended on 13th May last time. And there was one time the vouchers ended on Friday which caught me out. (Didn't look properly just assumed it was Sunday.)
Damn, I wish we had Gull in the South Island :(
