Buying rechargeable battery online oversea

Hi there.
I have read that nzpost won’t accept batteries. I am wondering anyone buys batteries online from oversea website and how did it go?
Awhile back I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that custom will block it. Any feedback much appreciated. Thank you.
