$20 for Joining (with Referral) @ Co-Operative Bank

50

Both you and your 'friend' (referrer) will receive $20 (Doesn't state a max but last year the max was of $60 per person) when you enter the special code in the app or online.

Here's a screenshot of the details (with unique code blanked out) https://files.cheapies.nz/upload/1302/2190/img_20180703_2218…

go to the co-operative bank website homepage co-operativebank.co.nz the promo code box is on the left hand side - enter it in there :) (this is what co-op told me, upon looking at it, if you are on mobile, scroll down (it isn't on the left) until you see "Promo code" (this was the case for the last one, not sure if it is true for this one, I found mine in the Co-operative report they send as pictured)

The promo code can be entered on left side within app (or when signing up, sorry I can't remember specifics)

Students have no account fees, and will receive the yearly rebate, so win-win

  • does anyone know how much is that "yearly rebate" they give? what was the previous few years amounts?

    • +1

I have got $10 this year didn't use the account at all (had about $3 in one of the accounts in there) ~~ every other year I used this as my main bank I got $20 back. They say the amount is based on how much you use the account and the amount of money you have with them. Friends had similar to me :) ($10-$20)

      • Thanks!

  • Can anyone PM me their promo code please, FIFS :)

    • +1

I just added my referral code above in the referral links as aren't able to PM you :)

  • Can you sign up online and start using the account, or do you need to go to a branch for anything?

  • they seem to have a lot of fees which make this pointless.

    • Depends what you're signing up for, I think one of the accounts is 50c per transaction-no yearly fee. Good for this deal. Students (tertiary included) also have no fee and get everyday saving account with 4% interest.

At the bottom of the deal there should be a grey box which will give you a random code :)

  • Where do we find our own referral code?

  • And was the $20 applied straight away when you opened the account?

    • I think the $20 comes in at end of promotion (I got $60 randomly all at once from it ~~ so I assume it was when the promo ended)

    • I signed up a couple of weeks ago but there was no $20 given to me. Today I transferred $20 into the account and I immediately had an additional $20 from the promo code. May have been coincidence, or it may require a deposit before you get your bonus.
