Can try to get a price match elsewhere

just went to Noel Leeming Queens St earlier and they can do price match and they didn't reduce the price. I cancelled the transaction and will check later in Warehouse as they can beat the price by 10% (and additional 5% less if you have Warehouse money)

Be careful with The Warehouse as they only price match on technology products, not price beat.

"Technology products and online only products will be price matched only."

Still good for the 5% Warehouse Money discount though :)

  • 5% cheaper if you price beat at warehouse stationary. If I remember correctly, they were price beating it at 10% before but just had a look at the terms and conditions. Seems like they have now reduced it to only 5%…

    • I had a horrible experience trying to get WHS in Newmarket to price beat the $5 mobile phone deal. They called Smiths City and found that they were out of stock in Auckland, but available in other cities. Someone, I assume was the store manager, refused to price beat, on the basis that if I'm not able to get it, they won't price beat.

I ended up complaining to their head office, and they agreed there's no such condition in their T&C.

I got a price match in NL upstairs on that day. The next day, the WHS store called to apologise and agreed to price beat by 5%.

      • I had a similar problem where they refused to price beat, they said they would only price match, as they were having to sell it below cost. So I also complained to their head office and they did then price beat. I wish the staff would understand their own terms and conditions.

        • same thing happened to my brother once, after complaining they made it really hard to get the refunded difference (drive an hour to the shop rather than refund to the card) ddnt bother getting the refund. will never shop there again after that

Yep, I had that issue once too but I told them to call head office on the spot. Took around 30min or so I think but they ended up price beating at the end. Its a bit troublesome with most places that have price beat, theres also similar experiences with mitre 10 as well. Most times i find it to be a bit of luck depending on who you get. Sometimes the process goes flawless and other times I have to go through a few people.
Noel Leeming is usually quite easy to get a price match through the online chat but that is only a price match.

Wow, that is truly horrible. I demand a Nationwide boycott, them trying to stiff you on $5 mobile phone deal. Who do they think they are!

        • LOL…it's not really missing out on the "deal" that was horrible, but the way they tried to wriggle out of their own T&C, which was quite hilarious thinking about it now. It's not helping when that was done by someone who appears to be a store manager.

    • ah bummer didnt even think about doing that!
