This is a ridiculously good deal. Will be eating there at least twice this week!

    • +2

Agreed. They never included the gourmet mini range before. Hamburgini at $5.90 with the freebies is indeed ridiculous.

  • What if you order online, it's got to be from 12-2pm? (Store opens at 11)

E: online says valid 5 September

  • When I order it says Voucher will not be redeemed, only valid 5/9

  • +1

You can order online. I've just did it and worked. It must be because you can only use it during 12-2pm

    • +1

Yea,I figured it was just their shoddy implementation of it.

  • Great deal thanks :)

  • Awesome deal. Apparently some stores are asking for the email even for online orders. Not sure what they'd do since it's already been made and paid for lol

    • +2

I would be ready for an argument if this happened because it clearly says in the email "Please show this email at counter to redeem your free fries and Thickshake voucher or when ordering online select all products and enter the promo code VIBLUNCHSHOUT at the checkout."….note the OR when ordering online.

But yeah if they did ask for the email, I would probably just say I don't have my phone with me as it wasn't a requirement to show it in person.

$5.90 for my lunch today including burger, fries and shake! 😄 That's only ~$2.00 per item!

Looks like it might be in-store only now:

"Now available IN STORE ONLY from 12pm-2pm on 5th,6th
Valid from 3rd Sep 2018 to the 3rd Sep 2018" when trying to use it.

    • -1

      RIP

    • it'll work again 2mro they are just shit with setting it up for future orders

    • It is working online now.

      • Yeah. I think what is happening is their promo system has no concept of time limits within a day. So probably what they're doing is manually changing the code at 12pm to make it work and disabling it again at 2pm. They're doing this by changing the date of the code so it is only valid on the day before or the day after the current date. So this is why you get the "Valid from 3rd Sep 2018 to the 3rd Sep 2018" when trying to use it." message. It now says 4th. It's an automated error since the coupon is only valid on the 4th or 3rd or whatever according to their backend system. From a report above I think it said 5th the first day.

The other message is just the promo (or error?) description that someone is putting. Now it says "ONLY available between 12pm-2pm on 5th and 6th". It's possible they did intend to make it instore only but got too many complaints and decided it wasn't worth it, or maybe whoever changed it just did that in case there were problems.

Can anyone post the email here? I'm signed up as VIB and didn't get an email? cheers

  • I ordered at around 1pm, for a 6.20pm pick up and got the full meal at Takapuna.

But looks like its moved to in store now.

Its a huge meal if you get a normal gourmet burg.

    • Ah, this exploited loop hole will be the reason this deal has now inconveniently moved in-store only. They can't update the code of their online shopping platform to disallow pickups beyond 2PM when using the promo code (so they just disallow it completely).

    • +1

its back, i orderd for a 5pm pickup :) all paid and accepted. worst that can happen is ill get a refund when i go to pickup

  • Great deal, had to wait a bit at the Courtenay Place store, online order with pickup of 12:28, was at least 20 minute shambles of a wait then another 10m for the shake. I say shambles because there were at least 10 burgers made, and 1 guy cooking fries, bagging, and calling out.
But $5.90 for all that, and the Hamburgini is a very nice wee burger.

I didn't get a mini doofer, did anyone? Maybe not valid with this deal.
"There is SO much more to grabbing a Gourmet Mini. Purchase ANY burger in September and you could be in to WIN! Order online or head in store, grab your favourite, then receive a mini doofer with all the deets for entry at the counter. "

    • I got a mini doofer but never used it and threw it away with the bag haha.

    • got two mini doofers with mine, they have unique codes you txt to enter, should be included with purchase.

      • maybe it was in the bag :(

  • Anyone managed to get it with the special burger Seoul Train? Nothing in the coupon description or T&C seems to suggest it's not valid with the special burger unless it's considered a "other offer" or isn't a gourmet large burger. Actually the email even advertised the Seoul Train. Although perhaps since it was concentrating on minis didn't say try with the Seoul Train or something like that.

However, when I tried online it didn't seem to work with the Seoul Train. Said requirements were not met and the price of the fries and drink weren't removed. It worked fine with another large burger. Tried adding and removing the burger and code, same problem.

But maybe people have had luck in store?

    • Worked in Ellerslie in store on Tuesday

      • Thanks. Decided I couldn't be bothered waiting in store so ended up getting something else. Although still had to wait in store. Yesterday they were basically empty at about 2 pm. Today a lot of customers especially getting shakes so that part took ages. I guess more people using the code.

        • Had it 3 times this week. Ordered online . No waiting required.

Edit. Ah just realised you are talking about the special burger. Ignore my comment

  • has anyone managed to order online today?

    • yup, i did just now for a 4pm pickup. works

      • which store did you order from? I don't know why i'm getting "ONLY available between 12pm-2pm on 6th Sep" when I put in the code

        • newtown. it says that, but the code still works

        • @quote: i see. do you see both free items listed when you go to the next step then? I could only see the burger and assumed it didnt work

        • I showed the legit email on my smartphone at my local burgerfuel, and the guy told me it only works online @$&/#! hahaha. All good in the end #time4specsavers

        • @negativity: i add it all and it takes away the price of the shake n fries :) splashed out and got a bigger burger today but it still worked with a small as i tried that 1st

        • @negativity and others, I'm not sure about on phones but on desktops there are two possible messages. One is in big white font (same font as the burger or whatever in your order) currently the "ONLY available between 12pm-2pm on 6th Sep". This is the name or description of the coupon. It always shows whether or not the coupon is working. It may change if they change it, but it's not related to the coupon working.

If there is a problem, you will see an error message in smaller off white font below it. This will say something like "Order contents do not meet requirements" or "Valid from 4th Sep 2018 to the 4th Sep 2018". The font is the same as any options in your order e.g. caramel, strawberry or chocolate for the shakes or if you change the aioli of the fries. This is an automated error rejecting the coupon for you order. I mentioned above that I think when they disable the coupon at midday they just change it to only be valid the day before or something, since their promo code back end has no concept of time.

When you add the coupon, once you've added a burger it should work, and the not meeting requirement message should disappear. But you need to add the fries and thickshake yourself. It may suggest you can add one for free but I think thsi sometimes doesn't work and possibly never works for the thickshake maybe since it can be the normal or soy one? If it's working when you add the extras the price will be remove.

  • No free thick-shake if you are ordering from Christchurch Bush Inn one. Only Spuds and Aioli.

    • +1

You just add the shake manually and it gets discounted.

    • i ordered and paid online, just popped in and got it, no questions asked - papanui store

    • +2

I had this deal for lunch today at the Bush Inn store, as mentioned above, when you put in the code the fries get added automatically and the thickshake you have to add manually but the cost gets deducted. Pretty sweet deal - the smaller burgers were quite good - fries w/ aoli amazing as per usual and thickshake was delicious!, wish I had gone earlier in the week aswell! thanks OP!
