      I have heard rumors that Unifi is going down the path of region locking their NA units.

        The region lock only removes some channels for use outside the US and has been happening for years. I think channel 13 and 14. The US region ones have US at the end of the model number.
        It makes almost no difference at all. I have a region locked ACLR and ACLITE running. LITE has been running 2+ years.
