I looked it up, I found it on their Facebook page, so it applies to all branches nationwide. They seem to be running it for a few Tuesdays now
Apologies, didn’t know they have velvet burger in Auckland. Honestly thought it’s a SI thing, updated!
They've been running this promo since before I started uni, in 2012. I've had 100's of their burgers since [since either I'd go myself, or friends would want 2 and so would I], in both dunedin, then Auck.
Somewhere along that time period the quality/quantity went down a bit at a few different points [less sauce on burgers, patties / portions went from being HUGE to being decent sized, way too dry and thus taste suffered]. Prices went up a bit [to be expected over 6 years, but then don't skimp on stuff] when the menu revamped, and they got rid of a few options like half a scoop of chips for $2.90 which I'm guessing some people enjoyed [you gotta get a full scoop for $6.50 incl the sauce, which is honestly too much food with a burger if you're by yourself].
I don't think its me just becoming used to it as a few others have said the same - it's still decent/good and great value on the tuesday, just not a great joint anymore, IMO. I used to not mind paying full price there because it'd be a good tasting product, and the portions would infact be 1.5-2x a fast food burger, at 1.5-2x the price [plus way better ingredients], I'd much rather spend $13~ on a burgerfuel burger now for what you get
No longer going there regularly as of 2-3 months ago, but will try it out sometime infreq. I guess.
Agree, burgerfuel are consistently better with the burgers and service, but 241 is a good deal. Might give them another shot, on a Tuesday obviously.

Was at the Dunedin branch and was told they have a new code every month, so probably will expire end of the month I reckon - will keep an eye out on their fb page

What was the original source/sauce for this deal? Definitely not Auckland?
