Bring back the receipt or something you did yesterday and try to get the free pod tomorrow. No harm trying. New World is a Kiwi company, unlike Countdown.

We have discovered that while our New World Pods are perfect for the fridge, freezer and dishwasher, and ideal for keeping your food fresh, some have been damaged when used in a microwave. This is a serious issue and has our full attention.
Firstly, we would like to reassure customers that there is no food safety issue and we have been working with MPI and other experts on this.
We apologise sincerely to customers and other people and organisations who have been working with us on this project, and we are relabelling the containers to provide the correct information to customers.
What is happening with the promotion?
We have discovered that some New World PODS have been damaged when used in a microwave. We have since established that while they are ideal for use in the fridge, freezer and dishwasher they are not suitable for use in a microwave.
We would like to reassure members, staff and customers that there is no food safety issue. We have verified this with independent industry experts.
We are now advising customers through as many channels as possible that the product is not suitable for use in a microwave.
Beware that this type of vacuum storage will leak air in over time. Use the pump every few days to maintain the vacuum.
This type or this particular brand? I have the Sunbeam food saver ones and they seem to work fine. BTW does anyone know if I can use the Sunbeam vacuum machine on these Pods?
I literally just redeemed something yesterday thinking it was too near to the end of the promo for them to do something like this. Ah well.
