      Yes

    • The Sub of the Day small print says "not to be used in conjunction with any other offer." Could just come down to how generous the staff member you get is feeling.

    • Is the seafood one any good?

      • I like it. It's scampi I think.

  • If its anything like the UK it really depends if the subway in question is participating.

I cant see a list either, i wonder if the auckland airport subway will be

I always assume Auckland Airport will be excluded. The one place people are willing to pay 2x or 3x the normal price for everything. A retailer's paradise!

      • Not sure if they opened another one inside the airport, but the one in the food court closed a long time ago and got replaced with Pita Pit.

        • There is one down by the regional gates near where Krispy Kreme just opened

  • I would avoid lunch hour during that day. Not gonna repeat the same mistake I made last year lol

    • Wonder if purchasing on the app would work to skip the queue ?

"In-restaurant purchases only" , so i would imagine be there in person to order. Last year at my local it wasnt that busy as many people weren't aware of the promo.

        • Reading failure, my bad. Haha.

I made this mistake, that was not worth the wait haha

Dam, it's free subway day at work anyway (every second Friday), but I do love a good deal…

      • Datacom Wellington, assume they do it around Nz, it's a good perk.

        • Should have said you worked at Subway.. haha

    • Footlong or sub of the day? :)

  • my local subway's line was out the door…still worth the wait

  • What a great deal-I'm on my way to the shop!

    • I hope they have some bread left!

      • Last year, they only have pita bread left at my local subway. The sub is just not the same as proper bread.

        • Lincoln North Centre is supposed to be open to 11 pm today according to the website but seemed to be locked at 9.40 pm although still quite a few people inside. Maybe I missed a sign or something decided no point hanging around. Was too late to try Henderson/Waitakere Mega Centre store as that says it closed at 10pm. Last year that one was actually quiet empty IIRC at about 9.

Lincoln Road near the McDonalds was still very busy at about 9.50 pm, estimate at least 10 orders ahead of me. They were slowing running out of bread, thought they might be out by the time they go to me but enough people got halfs etc that they had two white breads left but tried one of my subs as flat bread anyway. Were also out of lettuce and cheddar.

Actually thought more bread was due soon. But got a little confused and thought some was already half baked. Must be just the honey bread or whatever that is brown even before baking. They moved it to the oven from the compartment below (which I now guess is for proofing) not long before it was my turn. From what they said to people behind me, was going to take another 40 minutes. Think quite a few left when they found out. Was only likely 2 separate orders behind me for a while then suddenly seemed to be a bunch more then was a lot less when I was leaving.)

Did feel sorry for the person with two young children behind especially as I'm sure they came in before the person directly behind me who got the last bread. With the que all the way to the end when they came in, they first waited at the table with their children. Actually if I'd know was going to be so long for more bread, probably would have swapped with them since could have tolerated the wait especially since I think something more than white bread was due.

Have to admit surprised at how busy it is compared to other things like the Pita Pit BOGO.
