Nice, I see the next cheapest is $279 from MightyApe, although for anyone missing out on this price, EBGames offer refurbished for $1 cheaper.

  Used 3DS XLs usually go for around $150 (more with games) in Trademe. Better to get one that worked from the beginning rather than one that's repaired.

The price for $279 is the NEW 3DS XL. This is the old 3DS XL. (the new one doesnt come with a charger though).

The old version is heavier, shorter battery life, lower resolution screen, may not be compatible with newer games and cannot be used in conjunction with the amiibos being released currently.

The only good part of this deal is you MAY end up with a 4.5 or lower firmware console which lets you use Gateway 3DS software to download games for 'free'.
