Free Uncle Bens Rice Cup (Facebook Req)

270

Get a voucher for 100% off a Uncle Ben's Rice cup.
You need to allow the site to 'scan' your profile to determine how much you have shared.
It then gives you a voucher.

You need to share less to get 100% off (I had 2 shares in the last 30 days)

Also looks like there could be 50% off voucher and a months free supply on offer too.

Above the barcode mine says "TCC 19875"

    • Same code on the one I got

    • Same one I got too

  • +1

For a uniqueness comparison the last 6 digits of the barcode on my 100% off voucher are 198756

  • I'm not a good sharer, only 50% off

    • +2

means u share 2 much, i shared zero things and it said these are best unshared - 100% off

  • +2

    Confirmed it's not unique.

    • The description above says "confirmed unique". So which one is it? :\

9 918258 198756 is my barcode number for 100% off.

      • +1

I think its not unique. I have the exact same barcode as you for a 100% off. Probably can use it as many times as youd like until the expiry date.

Sorry my fault, not reading properly while at work

When it asked for my facebook permissions I unticked Timeline posts and it wasnt allowed to see my posts giving me 0 shares in the last 30 days and the 100% off voucher.

  • +3

I'm not giving it such intrusive FB permissions just for some free rice.

    • -1

I haven't used facebook for anything but getting free stuff or comp signups so what does it matter?
You can also remove permissions after you have clicked scan

    • For a cup of rice? Yeaaanaaa

      • For multiple cups of rice

      • +1

and even still, for those that don't eat rice it seems a bit "meh" but for those that do eat rice, its free rice, so thats a win! :)

Well have the PDF then, and you can print it yourself: https://www.dropbox.com/s/48c53470x56dj2o/100.pdf?dl=1

        Thank you kind sir.

the real deal is in the comments :)

      • Free rice! And I didn't have to sell my identity, cheers!

  • Does the barcode add a free coupon for the rice at any store?

    • You have to give them the print out. Coupons generally don't scan at checkout

    • Junk mail folder?

        • +1

Look at parlane's comment above, you don't have to do a thing but print it out ;)

  • Can I use this multiple times? e.g. go back a different day, go to another supermarket

    • -3

      No.

      • Why not?

    • You could. I've done it with other vouchers and the code is generic for this one as well (not that the cashiers care/keep track of the code). I've found that supermarkets owned by Progressive e.g. Countdown cashiers don't require supervisor permission to change prices but for Foodstaffs e.g. New World and Pak N Slave require a supervisor to swipe their key.

      • So only do this at Countdown/Progressives. Got it. Lol.

      • +1

Pak N Slave Whangarei doesn't need a supervisor to change prices.

    • yes

    • I've used it at new world and countdown on the same day just fine.

In the terms it only limits 1 per transaction

      • In the full T&Cs it says "The Free Product Voucher can be printed and used only once." - but it's not exactly like they can keep track of this

  • Do I actually have to print out the voucher or can I just show this on my phone, seeing as they are all the same generic code. Unless they have to do something like keep the voucher or something which in that case then I guess we have to print it out.

    • Yes you'll need to print out as the supermarkets send them in to get reimbursed

  • Why's this deal famous. The same rice box costs only about 2$ in countdown

    • +9

Famous? It's $2.5 at countdown on sale and $3.29 at new world full price.
I printed 10 and left in car so if I'm at supermarket I get free rice.
I wouldn't go out if my way just specifically for that.

      • +2

        ^this

      • Did you get to use the same barcode ten times in different supermarkets

    • +4

Its free and a good deal. Kind of what this site is aimed at.

  • +1

How would you even approach this deal? Like grab the rice and then go to the counter?

    • Exactly.

  • I know I'm late but is this expired?

    • +1

I assume so, the pdf posted in the comments said must be claimed by dec 6th

    • Yeah I believe so….my cupboards are full as :D
