  PUBG seems to be free to own forever but the big catch is that you need xbox live gold to play it (since it's multiplayer only).

  MS have done this before for Borderlands etc. it is just fully playable for a limited time -not free to own.

  Confirmed free play days from 8th - 11th also if you don't have gold you can play for free during this period.
