This is the New Hitman game Season 1
Includes:
Remastered and enhanced versions of the Hitman Season One locations: Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido
"Patient Zero" bonus campaign (including four missions)
Three Game of the Year Outfit Packs: Raven, Clown & Cowboy
Three Game of the Year "Escalation Contracts"
Note: Escalation Contracts will be released over time and added at no additional cost
Progression system, difficulty levels and gameplay mechanics will be shared between all Hitman Season One locations and Hitman 2 locations

Multiple reports of people who don't own either Season 1 or season 2 of this game and are able to play through all the missions in Season 1.
So far there are no annoucements on whether this is a free weekend trial or a trial period. Could also be an error on Microsofts part according to other posts from reddit.
Am not able to try it out as I sold my xbox one already.

  I'm seeing these free options as being Xbox One X only, no option for say the Xbox One S?

    Not sure as I have the option to install it on my xbox one s though i don't own it anymore, it was available in the drop down box. I also see others being able to install it on their normal xbox one.

          I don't get that problem here. Maybe try it with a computer.
          Seems like from reddit, you need to go through a special link rather than search it up yourself. So click through the link i posted here and that might help you get the game.
          Or you could try installing through the hitman season 2 prologue link as that should also allow you to get season 1 installed for free

  I clicked on the link at work yesterday and logged in and got the deal, then last night I flicked the Xbox one on and found it in my games ready for download, I started the download but haven't tried playing yet.
