I found this website that sends out free 2Degrees SIMs mentioned on Whirlpool.
A commenter says that it can be sent to NZ, but I have not personally tried, since I am living in Sydney at the moment.

It arrived to my house in Sydney today (Monday), I ordered it on last Tuesday.
The offer is still definitely on, just unsure whether they will send to NZ, even if their website appears to allow so.
They sent me a confirmation email, which required me to confirm my order via replying to the email. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
I had the same thing.
Same here, I replied and received my card in the post yesterday.
Yay!! :D
Received mine today (NZ address). It is called a Visitor SIM but seems fully functional like any SIM you would buy here
Yeah that's why I wrote it as "visitor" SIM. :)
Enjoy!! :D
I got mine in NZ today, took 3 days to get, had a 022xxxxxxx number and used it just like one in a shop, defaults to Prepay until you choose a plan. I also pre-registered my email on 2 Degrees site then added this number later. Thanks you saved me a shop trip and $5.
Glad you saved some $$ :)
Have done this before and it got delivered to my NZ address within 2 weeks of ordering
Just showed up today thanks
Looks like there 2 types of sims to pick from: visitor and unlimited travel.
Visitor seems to be for monthly prepay plans, whereas unlimited travel seems to be unlimited data/txt/calls for a few days (pay for extension)
If you are planning to use the sim for a while, the visitor sim definitely looks like the better option. Unlimited travel would work as a temporary sim for a few days or weeks.
Yep! Works, took a week to arrive and paid $0
blank sim, can receive text and calls, is that the whole point?
I just gave it a go - if it turns up, I'll post back here, but I guess it might take a while.
Alan.
