  • Has anyone gotten one of these wifi extenders before?
Are they just as good as the TP-Link ones from pbtech?

I looked elsewhere as soon as I read "Interface: USplug"

I went to the page and all the comments were answered "We will add the appropriate adapter for your order according to your country." About 10 times as well.

yeah I am just not keen on having something like this plugged in 24/7 via an adapter

          • @AleBeerenhoff: Why not?

            • @Senior Mouse: Risk of burning your house down, they will package the cheapest one they can find which makes this even more likely.

              • @lNomNoml: ^ this

                • @AleBeerenhoff: yeah those cheap adaptors are nasty, technically all banned in nz, which is why you don't see them in $2 shops anymore

                  • @The Hound: It is very easy to convert a US plug to NZ one, with a plier ;). Better than the cheap $2 plug adapters.

    • Yep, I've bought two. They work really well - they actually doubled my in-law's download speed when connected to the extended version of their network (instead of the 'vanilla' wifi network), which I find bizarre.
