*I thought the minimum income for this card was $60,000 from previous experience but can't find this anywhere so I am not sure what the minimum income level is.

  • I got this last year purely for the 40-days-per-trip travel insurance you get for free with Platinum cards. It's saved me about $200 so far.

    • yeah it's the best card for travel insurance as all you need is 1 travel purchase related to the trip. The 80/year gold card also has the same insurance benefit. Other banks require 50% of travel expenses to be charged on their cards for the insurance to become active.
