    limit: 1

  • Question: If I buy one for my son will his mobile number change? And if I buy more than 1 (i know about the limit) does each sim come with a different mobile number?

    • +1

1: Yes new sim card = new phone number.

2: Unless these are some sort of special case, no it wouldn't be a good idea. The 'Carryover Combo' refers to unused data / minutes rolling over to the next month's combo rather than expiring. That is assuming you buy another 'carryover' combo product within two weeks of the old one ending.

As an example - You buy a $19 carryover combo - I think this includes 1.25GB data, 200 mins and unlimited texts. Say you've only used 500MB of data and 50 mins. After the 30 days or whenever the combo comes to an end, you can renew it for a further month. Your old unused balance of 750MB & 150 mins will 'carryover' as additional data and minutes onto your new combo.

So your new balance immediately after renewing the combo would be 2GB data (the new allocation of 1.25GB plus the old 750MB still leftover) and 350 mins (200 + 150). Obviously you can't get more texts than unlimited so they're still just unlimited.

If you were to insert a new sim and buy a combo on that, it's a completely different account and phone number as far as 2degrees are concerned so your leftover combo balances will not in any way transfer over to the new sim. They would just expire and disappear.

      • Thanks choc squiggle. Excellent clarification. :)

  • Is this the 19$ carry over combo they're selling for 1$?

Damn the selling limit 1 per account

  • Should be able to combine it with this if you continue using the sim https://www.cheapies.nz/node/19111

  • Does it have to be put on a plan before you get the extras or work out of the sleeve?

    • No plan, it's prepaid. You just put it in a phone and dial 200 to activate it.

  • Thanks! Just noticed this in the description:

"100 Carryover Minutes and 500MB Carryover Data that lasts for up to a year, not a month."

    • +2

It lasts a year as long as you keep recharging every month. Dial 200 to check

  • +1

Yes the carryover (or leftover unused) minutes or data will last upto a year, but you have to top up every 30 days.

  • Hmm so if I buy this as a backup SIM card and don't use it, then the credits will expire after 1 month? Or will it last 1 year?

    • I don't see an expiry date (unlike the newer Vodafone simcards now) so they should not expire ever, not until you 'activate' the simcard/number.

      • When you said "but you have to top up every 30 days", is that to keep the leftover unused minutes / data active?

Say if I activate the SIM card, which grants me the 100 Carryover Minutes + 500MB Carryover Data and I don't use them for a couple of months. Will the minutes + data expire after 30 days?

What about if I don't activate the SIM card, will I still get the minutes + data upon SIM activation?

        • Yeah it does as per the two degrees CSR

And if you don't activate for a few years, you still have the credit in it when you activate, based on personal experience

  • Has anyone found a way to buy multiple cards.
Did anyone try price matching with warehouse or Noel

    • I did, by checking out as guest and buying one at a time.

  • How do you get it for $1?
It's coming up $15 for the SIM card

    • price has changed
