The Education Television and Video Communications Trust was established in June 2010 by e-cast Ltd as a not-for-profit Charitable Trust to manage the development and distribution of the off-air broadcast recordings services to Schools, Kura, Polytechnics, Wananga and Universities throughout the country. The Trust has been approved by the Minister of Education and Screenrights to operate as an Education Resource Supplier under the Copyright Act S.48.

Basically can watch freeview TV and a bunch of shows including Game of Thrones. Seems old uni/school logins will get you access as well.

  • I'm a teacher so logged in using my school name - found a programme but it said "your school does not currently subscribe to tv recordings." Guessing that universities/high schools might be more likely to subscribe.

Horrible quality. Not worried anyway, set myself up a plex server with Sonarr/Radarr which works magic.

For Game of Thrones fans, this is from the SkyTV website (via the Prime TV website) …

    Prime - Game of Thrones
Prime will broadcast the Free-To-Air premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones from Sunday 12 May.

Episodes one through five will be screened nightly from 12-16 May, with the final episode screening on Monday, 20 May, the same day as the rest of the world.

The episodes will screen around 9.30pm each day - timings will vary, so please check the guide on your SKY box for further details.

Prime viewers won’t have access to episodes on SKY GO.

Prime will have the Free-To-Air premiere of Game of Thrones: The Last Watch at a later date. Details will be announced in due course.

    • Free to air in Prime crap vision quality that is.
It’s mid 2019 and Prime TV is still in SD/stereo on Freeview.

      • Prime is available in HD if you've got the SkyTV Starter package, so it's still useful for those who have that but not the optional SoHo channel. They were working on FreeviewHD broadcasts back in 2016 (when Sky switched over), but I haven't heard any update on that.

Then again, there's no noticeable difference between SD and HD on our TV … not that we even watch the over-sexed over-violent garbage Game of Thrones anyway.
