  I've read that they do indeed expire, but I'm not sure on the time. some people say 1 year others have said a lot more. But subscriptions do stack, some people have decades worth. I've personally had 3 years worth before

  You could apply it today and it would just extend your subscription by 12 months i.e. 14 in total.

  I can't see why not, you can accumulate years of subscription if you want. I've had 3 years worth before. This is all part of the Days of Play promotion
