Brewed by Shepherd Neame in Faversham, Kent, this 4.2% Kentish ale was first brewed in 1990 to commemorate the Battle of Britain which was fought in the skies above Kent 50 years earlier. The beer is named after the legendary Spitfire aeroplane designed by RJ Mitchell. An infusion of three Kentish hops, this delicious ale is a beautifully balanced, blood-orange bitter with an amazing aroma & rich full flavours. Hints of marmalade, red grapes and pepper underpin a host of warm, mellow malt characters. The floating fruity finish signs off with a smidgen of spice and raspberry. While best before 31/07/19, this beer will continue to drink very well over the next 3 - 6 months, and at this clearance price it won't last. Be Quick!
