Had a 45 minute wait in Auckland CBD 😤

    • That's why you do an online order if possible :-P At least this time they didn't force people to go in store or call by failing to provide a code.

      • I did online.. still had to wait 40 mins.

  • Probably not needed since they have the online code but here are some links for their marketing service's 'show in browser' and 'forward to a friend'

  • HEADS UP: phone the branch before you visit because apparently they are getting up to one hour behind on orders…

If you read that carefully it may not have worked. Stores just turned off their phone systems so they wouldn't have to deal with more orders. (Frankly if you're already so far behind, dedicating someone to taking phone orders or answering queries seems a bad idea.) I think they can set a message on their phone system, at least for when it's shut down. And so they could have set one saying "We're 1 hour behind and no longer accepting phone orders" but probably many didn't.

When I tried at about 8.50, their online order page was similar. Many shut down (temporary unavailable) perhaps because they were largely out of stuff. (I think it's often either buns or salad ingredients.) Several had the message "Due to a technical issue we are unable to take any online orders at the moment. we are still able to take phone orders but it is cash only in the store sorry for the inconvenience". While I didn't try since at least 4 (maybe more can't remember) had the exact same message. I suspect it's just some generic message in their system when they shut it down and either the store didn't know how or didn't bother to put a custom one. So probably in many cases their phone system was also shut down. (New Lynn was one such store and from the Reddit thread, I'm doubtful they were still accepting phone orders at 8.50.)

A small number were temporarily unavailable with a descriptive message, something like "Because of the promotion we've an out of stock and can no longer accept orders" or something similar. Signed by the store and not exactly the same, clearly something someone in charge wrote.

Some stores had no message and seemed to be open. But if you tried to order it said 'store closed' and you could only order for the next day. A small number seemed to be accepting orders, but because of the order lead time, most seemed to stop accepting at 9 pm. At least one, New Windsor seemed to still be accepting after 9.

(8.50 is a little late, from previous experience I've found some stores either run out or shut down their online orders even by around 8.)
