  • Nearly pulled the trigger on that mini bluetooth one, until i saw this on one of the amazon reviews.

*****Warning Update Feb 25, 2015***** All the comments belown this comment pertain to the 2013 version of the JBL Micro Wireless. If you buy one of the newer versions, the sound is crap! I don't know what happened, but I got a newer model which allowed for phone conversation rather than just listening to mp3's (a feature for which I wasn't buying the speker). If you are thinking about buying the Micro Wireless, make certain that it is the 2013 model, and not a newer one, or you will be underwhelmed.

All the glowing reviews are mostly of the old one.

edit: I see someone is pointing out they got one which looks like a knock off with no FCC ID, different logos on the bottom. I wonder if this what caused the recent negative reviews.

    • Alright I just called Harvey Norman and spoke to one of the staff members from the electrical team. They don't seem to be aware of any different models in their stock and even then if you aren't happy with it you can always return it for a full refund (confirmed it applies for both online and in store purchases). Also looking at the reviews on Harvey Norman's website itself, majority of the people seem to be happy. So yeah the amazon one might have been a knock off.

      • Yeah I saw they have a return policy:

We understand shopping online is a little different so we offer a no questions asked 14 day exchange policy - simply take the goods back in to your local store. Goods must be sealed / unopened, with packaging in original condition, and accompanied by a valid receipt. You will be offered an exchange or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase.

But disappointed to read they could deny me if its open and it'd be a store credit.

Still tempting to just go for it anyway…

        • Although this was at one of their Aus stores last year I bought a pair of headphones, they sounded terrible so I went back to the store the next day, met up directly with the manager and told them how I wasn't happy with it. Few minutes later I walked out with a full refund.

So yeah if you buy it and the quality turns out to be not so great, 1. try return it as soon as you can and 2. try talk to the store manager to claim the refund.

  • Is it only the Blue coloured Flip 2 on sale? I can't seem to see any other colours?

    • Hmm yeah don't think they are selling any other colours.
