This has been out for a while now and is a great buy, especially considering the online answers/Alexa smarts are the same no matter what hardware you use.
PB Tech has echo dot V2s for $39 also.

Still not sure NZ is formally supported by google home.
Google seems smarter, but amazon has much more integrated support.

Echo Show 5 is also worth looking at. The screen is really quite useful. It was on sale @ $130 up until quite recently
Yes we have one of those already, however I find the microphone is really only suitable for a bedroom - while this one has 7 microphones.
