Hello,
Could someone recommend some safe, good-value-for-money jumper leads for an average sedan car (3 litre v6) please? Thanks

Also recommend these there really good quality, I've recently used these to jump start an industrial generator from my car.
I have these https://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/p/autohaus-booster-cables-wit…
They do the job for me (3.5L v6) and the wife (2L 4cyl turbo). Probably too small for a larger v6, 4x4 or diesel, but plenty for most general cars.
Got them on one the of regular buy 1 get 1 half price deals so have 1 in each car.
I figure they might get used once every 18 months, if that so didn't need to go for a really high quality one.
If you plan to use they a fair amount then maybe get a better one
If it's of any consolation I've been using some thick speaker cable for years now, so if you don't have $30 for a pair of jumper cables maybe buying a few metres of thick cable for $5 would do the trick for a fraction of the price. It just takes longer to charge and you need to unbolt the battery terminals to screw in the cable, otherwise it's the same haha!

Thanks very much for your suggestions.
@seniormouse, your suggestion is a bit too advanced for my DIY skills.
I ended up buying a set from Bunnings as it's the closest shop to get to. I actually have breakdown service, which I only use once in a few years, but I thought it would be quite handy to have some jumper cables.
I use these, not the cheapest but they're solid enough to handle anything and have the anti surge thing so you don't fry the computer;
