  If they run of these at this price - the 10TB WD elements have the same drives and are the same price at the moment (though you wont get the 64GB thumb drive)

    Frankly bigger for me is the 1 year instead of 2 year warranty even if you are getting it from US. (NB Amazon claims 3 year warranty by WD say 2 years. I think WD are probably right.

    Admittedly with the Elements you don't have to worry about their weird encryption if you the controller ever fails although of course you always needs backups anyway.

      How much would it cost to send to send it back for warranty?.
      Dont know about the encryption but one of the drives had a bad controller and ended up shucking to check the sectors.
