Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a heat pump installed cost-effectively in Auckland? Thanks! :)
heat pump deals?

No such thing as cost effective, it's either installed properly or not. Yes it's expensive (try living somewhere rural) but if it's done wrong you'll have all sorts of issues. If it's anything less than $900 (back to back install) then you're winning.
Also, don't buy the heat pump until you speak with an installer, some won't do the cheap ones, not because they are snobs but because they can be more hassle than they are worthDid the Bunnings(Mitsubishi one)trick and got quotes from Builderscrack website. BAPS electrical quoted $350 inc gst for standard back to back install. Paid round $380 cos they had to fix a broken powerpoint. Legit electrical inc Coc and all.
The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries heat pump at Bunnings is just as good quality as the Mitsubishi Electric ones available at most places. MHI do mostly commercial units and doesn't have the fancy stuff ME does, but at least the smart home functionality can be taken care of using other-branded home hubs e.g. Xiaomi.
Hi Wearnes,
$350 inc gst for standard back to back install- great price! What is the "Bunnings(Mitsubishi one)trick"?
Thanks
yeah i got one installed for $300 so $1300 all up for a mitsi installed…
Hi, do you remember who did the installation for you?
@Firremann: Yeah I would be interested as well, The Bunnings quotes desk quoted $900 for a standard install.
Would love a recommendation on a company for install too. Seems like a great install price!
Oh i approached a air-con guy and it was for cash…. not for a company
Would you qualify for this?

Ill text the guy and ask him if he wants he can get in contact here :)
buy one from bunnings and just get a aircon guy to do the plumbing… not sure how you'd go about the electrics though to keep it compliant.
