Even with the Xbox one Kinect you need an adapter for PC connection as the plug isn't a standard USB port. You'll need an additional adapter and power supply kit which is hard to come by locally for less than $50(ebgames is sold out of their preowned ones)
Yeah you're right. For some reason I thought the Kinect was just USB powered from my previous experience with the old Xbox One. My suggestion is not valid anymore with the cost of the power supply.
also might want to note this is "Pre-owned", or as myself and most other people say "Secondhand".
If you have a bit more money and want to use this as a PC webcam, I would recommend getting the $24 Xbox One Kinect instead as it has 1080p resolution, compared to the 640x480 (VGA) resolution for the Xbox 360 Kinect. VGA webcams are real cheap on Ebay/AliExpress, but a good quality 1080p webcam with native Windows support is a bit more expensive.
Also the $4 Kinect needs an extra AC power adaptor.
