So after reading today about The $500 8-night Fiji cruise, I thought i'd have a look around to see what else is on offer, I don't travel much so don't know where to look bes tfor bargains. Anyone able to spot any major bargains?
For some of us, coronovirus isn't a deterrent for a good, cheap holiday.

We are supposed to be going to Vietnam from mid April to early may for 3 weeks for a family holiday. Not sure if we will still be going or not. Haven't checked whether we can use insurance (platinum amex) or not to cancel the holiday.
My partner and I are going early April to Vietnam and Cambodia. No plans to cancel. Hopefully should be cheaper with less tourists around. Insurance company has more or less said they don't cover Pandemics.
FYI that Fiji 8 night cruise has a RRP of $1173 pp / 4-person room
Yeah thats what I found, cheapest sailing for that cruise I could find was about $750, or about $850 with the premium drinks package.
$750 for inside cabin? So whats this $500 for 8 days?
The $495 deal ended on the 7th, none of the next bookings as far as I can see are priced that low, but may come down if uptake is low.
You clearly didn't read the linked articleI think Toddy meant is $750 is an off peak season special, and $500 is the 'corona special'.
And that pricing is per person with a min. of 2 or 4 person booking. I don't much about cruises, never been in one, for a good reason lol.
If you go to a hotspot, do you still get 2 weeks off at army base north of auckland or do you self isolate "at home"?
Can you use accrued sick leave for either?
Well that's the end of any overseas holiday bargains….Any cheap domestic deals?
Cheap fuel. Roadtrip.
Would be keen for some good Domestic Deals.. support the local businesses while taking a holiday :)
They are already losing so much from the lack of overseas tourist. Not sure how much more discounting they can offer.
How quickly things have changed. I see my "goto" pricing site Cruisesalefinder.co.nz is closing down. Sad day
I am looking around for South Pacific Island holidays atm and nothing is "wow I gotta have it" cheap…just normal atm from what I can tell (asides from the normal flight deals, packages, etc). Doesn't look like anyone down here is hurting enough (yet).
