Panasonic Professional Hair Clipper $150 with Primate Membership @ Mighty Ape

60

One of the best clipper out there, I’ve got ER-1611 for a few years, it performs faultlessly. This is Made In Japan. Primate members save $50, otherwise it’s $199.

I don’t know how Mighty Ape has managed to secure these clippers so cheap, especially at this special theme when there’s a huge demand on hair clippers around the world.

If only I still have primate!

    • Hi I have sent you a PM :)

  • I have this trimmer it's made in Japan and I have been cutting my hair since 9 years and with this one since 2 + years and it's one of the best you can buy

  • Are barbers allowed to open at level 2?

    • We'll find out tomorrow.

    • We'll find out tomorrow or Friday.

  • Is it worth to join their Primate membership? whether unlimited delivery includes large item?

    • If you shop with them it's worth it.. I've saved plenty over the last few years!
It does apply to large items as well 👍

    • Yes, it includes large items. They’re able to price match/beat most things so I’ve saved lots and delivery is normally quick except for now due to covid

Hi I have sent you a PM :)

    • My Summary for the last 3 months..

Number of orders you placed as a Primate 17
Total you would have spent on delivery $97.30
Cost of Primate 3 months subscription - $18.00
      Amount you saved $79.30

  • By the time you receive this from the courier, NZ would already be at level 2.

    • Isn’t there something about 1 metre rule?

  • Hmmm $18 ….. how often is there worthy primate deals during the year?

Hi could you flick me a PM please? Your settings won’t let me message you.

    • I waited until their Black Friday sale to exchange my banana points for Primate, and in the end I didn't buy a single thing.

  • If you do a search on eBay or Amazon, you will find this clipper is over NZ$300 plus shipping and GST, go figure.

    • What is so good about them? I have like a pair from Briscoes that might have been around the $40-50 mark (can’t remember). Can you please explain what makes this much better? Honest question.

      • I don't know either. But I've made the purchase because I'm sick and tired of tangled power cord. And I like the quality of my panasonic shaver so much (it beats all other electric shavers i've had) that I'm hoping I'd be wowed by this too.

Would you be able flick me a PM please?

      • The briscoes one will be more like a horse cart this will be more like a Tesla

  • What is the battery life like? I bought a Wahl cordless over Xmas and it constantly needs recharging…

  • Please search reviews on Youtube or Amazon, ER-GP80 is an identical model

  • I’ve ordered one too, but apparently the shortest setting is 0.8mm which Is disappointingly long IMHO for a clippers of this price (one usually needs to go to a detail trimmer to get shorter) and since I’m a baldy, I’ll be using it for an all-over head shave that I want to be nice and close. There is however, a seemingly simple instruction video on YouTube, on how to modify this exact model to a “zero-gap” setting, which I will be trying out. I’m not going to post a link to it, since if you eff it up it’ll break your blade and void your warranty, which I don’t want to be responsible for :D

  • States no longer available, probably sold put.
