  • How do you get additional 30% off

    • just add to cart, alta (teal colour) and ace get additional 30% off.

  • Cheers op

  • I went instore.. apparently they are all marked recalled now

    • Interesting. Meaning what, exactly? Are they dodgy?

      • More likely it's an internal way of dealing with a pricing error. I had one in cart and couldn't finish purchase while I checked my wrist size😭

  • +1

Damnn cant argue with 2 fitbits for $27 thanks for posting this deal. Good find.

  • Massive upvote to OP but extra massive downvote to The Warehouse online ordering system. I got through to checkout, selected to pay by credit card only for one of the items THAT WERE IN MY BASKET to no longer be available. Went to choose an alternative, added to basket, went through checkout only for the other item to NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE.

Their online systems are terrible and I'm half expecting none of my order to arrive :(

    • Funny thing is that their 1-Day site actually reserves items placed in carts, so who knows why they use different systems for their brands.

  • Thanks, managed to snag one of the last teal ones online. Hope it actually gets fulfilled.

    • Grrrr. Good on you, that was the one in my basket lol

  • MAnaged to get Ace power for my kid, hopefully it's not canned

  • shit…none online

You can still pick some up. "Fitbit Alta Large" in dark blue, maroon, and black.

    • Dark Blue seems to be out of stock now. But Ace Power and Ace Electric still show up as in stock for me. (Ace is for children.)

  • It's clearly a price error, items that still easily sell for $100+ at retail or on TM for 1/5th the price..

    • Wait for the Karens to be up in arms about this… Laying formal complaints like Anti 5G bumper stickers.

    • +1

They were tagged as clearance and the listing wasn't removed, so maybe not.

    • It was $100 on special back in 2016 (source: cheapies). $20 for a 3+ year old, no longer on the shelf, fitness tracker isn't unreasonable given how much nicer newer models are. They genuinely could be clearing out stock.

  • Had a conversation with someone in store to see if there were any stock for Altra HR. 0 stock across NZ. Fitbit issued the recall themselves unfortunately for all the stock.

    • Didn't Google buy Fitbit?

      • I did for the 2 I was looking at (Alta and Alta HR). No one other than warehouse stationary is selling it. Was hoping to price match someone else. Ah well.

      • Just realised I didn't read thus right. Yes they did :)

    • What do people mean by recall? How could Fitbit require WS to halt the sale of clearance units held for sale (or is it like when a car manufacturer recalls certain models for defects)?

      • +2

Probably Fitbit buys the stock back from the retailers. They don't want people getting their products for cheap - they'd rather destroy/recycle them and have people pay full price for the newer models

        • I see. Thanks for explaining.

  • Honestly dont get the hype around Fitbit..Fitbit acquired Pebble watch then Google acquired Fitbit. Pebble watches look so much nicer than any Fitbit watches on the market (imo)

    • $20 is the hype. I'd never considered owning one, but for $20 it's worth a go.

      • Yeah for the price its totally worth it but I felt there was a big hype around it even before this deal, never understood why especially when there's a lot of other fitness watch/smart watches

        • The appeal is in the social networking options of the app and community.

Hardware wise they’re no better than the xiaomi options, but Fitbit has the marketing.

Still at this price man, it’s all good.

    • And now that its Googles its only a matter of time I'll be able to switch the lights on with my fitbit.

  • +2

My order has now been shipped and I've been given a Track and Trace number. Fingers crossed.

  • Oh I just bought an alta HR the other day from here, thought I was happy with the price until I saw this haha! But I'm actually seeing this the next day so by now they are all sold out.

Can you get alerts when things are posted right away?

  • I got the "We're not able to locate the following items just yet" email, so I'm not holding my breath for getting my order (2 Altas, placed 11ish yesterday)

    • +1

I get that email often from TWH, and two days later that order gets cancelled.

  • sorry delete please.

  • Received mine today

  • Fitbit Ace received this morning. Was a good deal with free freight as well. Cheers OP.

  • Picked mine up yesterday from Click and Collect at Warehouse Silverdale. Super stoked at my new $20 Fitbit. Thanks OP.

  • Got mine deliverd yesterday. Very impressed they honoured this. Thank you OP! :)

  • +1

Picked up my Fitbit Alta yesterday but mine was faulty (would only turn on when plugged into a USB port). I messaged Fitbit support and they’re sending me a replacement inspire since they don’t stock the Alta anymore. Thanks OP! :)

    • Nice did you message them on Facebook?

    • Thanks, I know someone with the same or similar problem, won't charge, will let them know. I suspect they've been sitting in storage for too long and the battery is permanently dead. I'm now starting to regret not getting one ;-) (Only Alta non HR was left when I checked and although it was a good price, not sure I wanted one if it was non HR.)

Also starting to look like Fitbit probably did the right thing by recalling the Alta's at least

    • Same issue with my device as well. I was thinking of returning it to warehouse, but I will try contacting Fitbit first. Could you please let us know how you contacted fitbit? Mail? Fb? or via their website?

      Thanks.

      • +1

I used Fitbit livechat off their website. They originally offered me a replacement Alta but after submitting the replacement form the team that handled it said they didn’t stock any altas anymore and offered me the upgrade. They will give you the choice of going to the warehouse or getting a replacement through Fitbit so just ask Fitbit to replace. Good luck!

        • Thanks. :)

        • Hi, I got in touch with fitbit over chat, and after a while of going back and forth, today they've placed an order for Fitbit Inspire.

Thank you for posting this information here. I almost returned it to Warehouse Stationery, for a refund. You saved us from all that hassle.

          Cheers.

    • Same problem with the two Altas i bought here - dead except when plugged in!

      Will contact em!

    • Thanks for the tip. My Alta is DOA also. Will give it a go.

      • Update: yep, my chat/replacement experience was exactly as poppyseed described. Awesome, thanks!

        • I have more than one DOA, the chat experience was good, but when they escalated it they have told me to go back to the retailer?

        • The chat rep sent me some steps to follow over email. tried those and replied back to the email. Then they sent a link to request for replacement.

Waiting for further communication from their team, should see how it goes.

          Cheers.

          • @ag: I did all of the steps over chat, and then they confirmed the devices were defective and 'escalated' it. The next email I had said it had to go back to the retailer.

            • @Sadie: Could be because you were doing more than one or got unlucky with the person you were escalated to. Also a chance they've realised what is going on and aren't please with Warehouse Stationery and are getting stricter I guess.

    • I bought 2 Alta and unfortunately, both worked okay after charging them overnight. It seems that there's no way for me to replace them with Inspire :(

  • Are all the faulty ones size Large? (Altas)
I have tested 4 so far and the 3 small work fine while the large is dead

    • Two size large in black, both DOA.

  • +1

Non-HR Alta large and small are back in stock - Not sure if you will able to get them eventually though. Worth a try.

    • looks to be around less than 10 avaiable, if you have the same experience as Poppyseed you may get a brand new model for $20 essentially.

      • I suspect most of these units are ex-demo or ex-display, which explains the high number of faults. I saw plenty of ex-demos for sale at my local Noel Leeming today.

        • All the ones I received were factory sealed

    • Thanks, ordered 2 large. Wonder if mine will be semi DOA?

  • Flex 2 also showing up in stock now, and still a Alta non HR large (teal 810351025313) and small (the silver/black colour 810351025252) in stock. The plum large which was also in stock last evening isn't any more.

I wonder if it's possible that people are confused and returning them without realising they are broken or people have heard they are broken and returning them without opening, or worse Warehouse Stationery are being told these are broken but restocking them anyway?

    • Has anyone tried returning it to Warehouse Stationery? Do they send it away for repair/replace or refund?

  • Alta Large (Black) is back in stock again - 11 stocks available at the moment.

Just ordered a Charge 2 Large too but unfortunately it was the last one.

    • +2

      Update:

Alta Large (Black) is out of stock
Alta HR Large (Black) and Flex 2 are in stock

It seems that they keep restocking so you might try your luck at different time

    • How do you see how many are in stock or what stores have it?

      • For stock online, if it's small numbers and no order limits, you can just keep increasing numbers until it says there's no stock. You may be able to inspect HTML or something to work out, but I think just increasing quantities is easiest.

I think the only way to check in stores is via asking a store? They don't show store stock online AFAIK, I suspect partly because it tends to be unreliable due to stock going missing etc. (Probably combined with staff or their system being crap at handling the situation when they find out they don't have the expected stock.*) I think there's never any in store stock of these as they were "recalled" but for whatever reason they're still selling them online.

*Off topic but as an example, a few weeks ago I went to a Lighting Plus which supposedly had 7 fluorescent tubes of the type I was looking for. I wanted 4 but would have been fine with 1 and thought with 7 they must have at least 1 right? So I didn't bother to call but got there and found they had none. The staff member I spoke to knew the instant I showed the product they had none and that their website said they did. And they wouldn't be getting more until July. I don't think it ever changed from 7, it still says 7 now. Whether they didn't update stock because they can't be bothered or because it's too difficult I don't know. This was a completely different store but from my experience this sort of thing isn't uncommon at a lot of NZ stores.

  • FYI, Fitbit Alta HR Large is STILL in stock if you missed it the last round, 4 left in stock

    • They must be returned items. I went to return mine today and they offered refund only.

  • So Fitbit sent me an Inspire to replace the Alta I bought that was DOA. I received the Inspire "pebble" and wristband, but no charger that will work with it (Alta one is not compatible). Now I have to send them back the Inspire + wristband (via DHL), so they can send me a second replacement Inspire, this time in the complete retail pack with charger etc. Pain in the arse!
