I've been needing a new phone for a while as it is slow and always low on storage and have been keeping eye out for deals.
Considering the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro has the latest Snapdragon 865, 6.67 screen and 128GB storage it seems like a great price. It is only 6GB Ram and Camera probably isn't the greatest, but for $851 from a NZ store seems like good value.
I would be interested in Samsung when they have the occasional great deal, however they only have the Exynos processor in NZ not Snapdragon which is a big downside and they sell for between 1500 to 2000.
The closest to the Poco F2 Pro is the OnePlus 8 which is about $1050 from same store (THe pro closer to $1500), has 8GB Ram and 90Hz display vs 60hz and maybe better software, however is an extra $200.
Do you guys have any thoughts or other options I should consider?
You can pick one up direct from AliExpress for around the $760 mark. I have bought two Xiaomi phones from their global store on AliExpress. I've never had any issues the warranty is going to be no better buying one in New Zealand but up to you. PB tech also have them on display if you want to see one in the flesh first.
