Without google - what's your opinion between these 2 hammer drills (for someone who new to these)?

    • +1

The Bunnings drill has a plastic gearbox surround and a slightly lighter and the mitre 10 one has a metal gearbox surround and a slightly heavier duty although both really just Light duty drills which are plenty strong enough both of them for the home handyman. The advantage of the mitre 10 Drill deal is that it has two batteries even though they are 4 amp It's sometimes handy to have an extra Battery on hand and those 4amp batteries retail for around $140-$170.

      • Thanks, bought the 795 just because of the batteries. Moving away from Ozito system after 8 or so years.

Adding on to that the mitre 10 drill has a good case with it that retails around $75 and none mentioned with the bunnings deal. I would definitely go for two batteries but 5ah will last ages. I don't have to charge mine very often and I still have the last series of the brushed drills.

  • Neither them a good deals compare to last year, and I went to Mitre 10 New Lynn in the late afternoon on Friday, the pile only has 2 missing gap indicated only 2 been sold. DeWalt this year's black Friday deal is not tempting as "1/3 price of normal rate" as last year.
Now, today is Saturday, you may see both Mitre 10 and Bunnings website still have this deal on sale whereas last year Black Friday is Friday only.
